Abstract: Bone cancer pain mostly due to lung cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer caused by bone metastases, is a stubborn refractory pain. Now there are relevant research for pathological mechanism of bone cancer pain, but still can not clear its specific mechanism. P2X receptormediated purinergic signals in tumor growth, metastasis-related pathological mechanisms have a very important role, but also involved in the formation and maintenance of cancer pain. P2X receptor is a gated ion channel of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which mainly includes 7 subtypes of P2X1-P2X7. Preliminary studies have shown that P2X3, P2X4, P2X6 and P2X7 receptors are involved in the development of bone cancer pain, and the related mechanisms exist difference. This review summarizes the mechanisms involved in the involvement of P2X receptors in the development and maintenance of bone cancer pain and further confirms that P2X receptors play a key role in bone cancer pain.
