Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of moxibustion on the healing time of rats with acute gastric ulcer at different time. Method: 72 male SD rats were randomly divided into three groups, each group of 24 rats, each group divided into normal group, model group, stomach meridian acupoint group and non acupoints group. Except the normal group, the model of gastric ulcer of rats in other groups, The stomach meridian acupoint group ("Liangmen" and "Zusanli"), non acupoint group ("Liang men" and "Zusanli" outside 1cm), once a day, each intervention 30min. The first batch of rats intervention 1 day, second batches of rats continuous intervention 4 days, third batches of rats continuous intervention 7d. After the intervention, to observe the changes of gastric mucosal morphology under light microscope, Real-Time PCR (RT-PCR) determination of gastric mucosa of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), substance P (SP) expression, Western blot (WB) determination of neurotensin (NT) expression. Results: Compared with the model group, moxibustion can effectively improve the morphology of gastric mucosa, increase the expression of PCNA, and reduce the expression of SP and NT (P<0.05); Compared with the non acupoints group and moxibustion group, stomach meridian acupoints can obviously improve the expression of PCNA and SP decreased and the expression of NT (P<0.05); In the second batch and the third batch, there were no significant difference in the expression of PCNA, SP and NT among the first batch (P<0.05). Conclusion: Moxibustion on the stomach meridian can effectively improve the gastric mucosa related inflammatory indexes in rats with acute gastric ulcer, and the self-healing time should over 7 days.
