Abstract:  Objective:  To  explore  the  value  of  using  the  animal  energy  metabolism  monitoring  system (AEMMS) in the study to improve  the energy metabolism of  acute alcohol liver injury in rat by acupuncture. Methods: 30 rats were divided into control group, model group and EA group randomly. Model group and EA group were  gavaged  with 50% ethanol (12ml / kg), which were resulting in an animal model of acute alcoholic  liver  injury.  EA  group  after  gavaged  was  treated  30min  each  time  every  day  by  acupuncture Zusanli(ST -36),  and  the  treatment  continued  3  days.  To  observe  the  RER,  heat,  feeding  and  drinking continuously  for  96h  in  each  group  at  same  time  by  AEMMS.  Results:  The  RER，feeding  and  drinkingdecreased significantly in rats with ALI，the heat in which increased；There was an increased tendency of the  RER, feeding and drinking，and an declined tendency of the heat in model rats by EA intervention.  Conclusion:  It was  indicated  that  there was a  practical value  of AEMMS through the study of the energy metabolism of rats with ALI by acupuncture.
