AbstractObjective:  To  observe  the  expression  of  substance  P  in  the  point  local  and  serum  after acupuncture the  “Complementary Acupoints”  Yanglingquan and Yinlingquan in rats, so as to analyze the correlation  with  the  change  of  substance  P  and  the  synergistic  interaction  of  compatibility  in “Complementary Acupoints”.  Methods:  40 SD rats were randomly and equally divided into 5 groups,8 rats each.  Detection the content ofsubstance P in ratsserum by ELISA technique and the expression of substance P in the point local by histochemistry method after electroacupuncture. Results: Compared with the group  control, the positive expression of SP in the local area and the content of the serum in  other groups were increased in different degrees. Compared with all of acupuncture groups, the  SP expression was the least in the group of acupuncture the  sideward  of Yanglingquan and Yinlingquan. Conclusion:As compared with other groups, the positive expression of SP in the local area and the content of the serumwere significantly increased .It is one of the possible factors for the synergistic interaction ofcompatibility in “Complementary Acupoints” .
