Abstract: By collecting the relevant literatures on the single acupuncture treatment of female infertility within recent 10 years, this paper has analyzed the characteristics, advantages and weakness points on single acupuncture treatment of female infertility. On points selecting, the treatment of infertility mainly chooses the routine acupoints (CV3, CV4, EX-CA1, ST36, SP6), then secondly choosing acupoints by combining routine acupoints with syndrome differentiation or the menstrual cycle. All these methods are able to improve efficiently on the treatment of infertility. However, there are efficiency differences between these methods. In all, there are limited clinical observations on the single acupuncture treatment of infertility, and attentions as well as improvements are required to be paid on the aspects of researching depth, standards on points selecting, criteria of clinical observations, and emotional therapies
