On May 27th, Ma Ying, the Secretary-General of WFAS and Yang Longhui, the Vice President of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS) and the Executive Committee Member of WFAS met with the experts group headed by Professor Adam W. Jelonek, Vice President of Jagiellonian University at CACMS. The three parties held a talk aimed at promoting the implementation of the cooperation agreement signed by WFAS, CACMS and Jagiellonian University in June, 2018 and also further advancing the cooperation with Jagiellonian University made during the visit led by President of WFAS, Liu Baoyan in November, 2018. During the conference, Ma Ying introduced some key academic activities recently held by WFAS, and Yang Longhui reviewed the China-Poland cooperation and exchange, especially the exchange achievements in the field of education, science and research etc.

It was highly confirmed in the conference that Poland Jagiellonian University would be holding the First WFAS Forum for Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Krakow in November, 2019. Moreover, they exchanged views on jointly carrying out training program of TCM acupuncture education and exchanging visits of experts and scholars to mutually learn from each other. At the same time, they also had a thorough discussion about the construction of China-Poland Traditional Chinese Medicine Center. And Professor Jelonek gave a detailed introduction of the  new building of Medical College in Jagiellonian University, as well as the design and planning for China-Poland TCM Center and Acupuncture-Moxibustion Rehabilitation Center.

Located in Krakow, Poland with more than 650 years’ history, Jagiellonian University is the oldest university in Poland and one of the oldest universities in Europe even in the whole world. It has always topped the list among all the General Universities in Poland over the years. In addition, the Medical College of Jagiellonian University is the oldest and one of the largest medical schools in Poland.
