Dear Member Societies, Working Committees of WFAS, Acupuncture Practitioners,

On the occasion of the sixth World Acupuncture Week from 16th to 22th of November 2019, the Secretariat of WFAS hereby sends our best wishes to all the professionals and practitioners of TCM Acupuncture and Moxibustion in the globe, and our sincere gratitude to all our member societies, Working Committees and colleagues for your effort and contributions to the advancement of the profession. 

In 2010, TCM Acupuncture and Moxibustion was listed in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. To celebrate the 8th anniversary of the successful application of TCM Acupuncture and Moxibustion for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, WFAS held a Special Event of “World Acupuncture Day” in UNESCO, Paris, France, on November 15th, 2018, and officially released the “Work Together to Create a Community for Human Health - 2018 Paris Declaration” to the world. This is the new starting point and importance milestone of the WFAS in guiding the global development of TCM Acupuncture and Moxibustion.

The Secretariat of WFAS intends to collect news reports of activities in various forms, featuring “academic exchanges”, “public welfare activities”, “popular science lectures”, “free clinic activities”, “published books or periodicals”, “cultural and creative products”,  “short videos”, “social media promotion” and “performance of world TCM Acupuncture theme song Acupuncture Love for the World”, organized by our member societies in celebration of World Acupuncture Week 2019, with the theme of “Work Together to Create A Community for Human Health”. Reports shall include text (around 500 English words) and photos. Your report will be published at the website of WFAS.
