The 10th General Assembly and 2022 World Conference on Acupuncture-Moxibustion (Singapore) of WFAS will be held on November 17-21 in Singapore. Details related to paper collection are as follows.

1. Contents of the Conference

The “World Conference on Acupuncture-Moxibustion” held by WFAS is a top international academic conference on acupuncture-moxibustion of TCM. It is held together with the General Assembly and is the most influential academic event in the field of TCM acupuncture-moxibustion in the world.

The Conference intends to invite academicians, top experts of TCM and integrated medicine to give academic reports. The online venue will be opened at the same time as the offline venue. Domestic and international representatives online and on site, will centre on the inheritance and innovation of “Acupuncture-Moxibustion of traditional Chinese medicine” as an intangible cultural heritage of mankind, and the WHO’s Traditional Medicine Strategy. Many topics will be discussed, including the basic theory, scientific research, clinical experience, specialized application, product development, achievement transformation, service&trade, and cultural transmission, etc.

3. Contents of Paper

Scholars can write papers on basic theory, mechanism research, clinical application, clinical guidelines and standardization, characteristic diagnosis and treatment techniques, inheritance education and normative legislation, discipline construction and international development, innovative application of acupuncture devices, etc.

4. Requirements of writing

(1) The information and academic achievements in the paper must be completed in 2017-2022. In principle, each first author is limited to one paper. There shall not be any confidential content. Authors are responsible for the paper, and requested to ensure its authenticity and objectivity of the content.

(2) Abstracts must be submitted together with the paper, or the full text can be submitted. The full text should not exceed 5,000 words and the layout should not exceed 5 pages. The English should be in Times New Roman typeface.

(3) The deadline for paper submission is September 30, 2022. Send to assoc@singaporetcm.com with the subject of “2022 Singapore Academic Conference Paper + Name”.

(4) The Conference intends to recommend the proceedings to the relevant dissertation collection institutions and retrieval institutions. Anyone who has not made a special statement to the Conference shall be deemed to have agreed to authorize the recommendation.

(5) Delegates who make oral presentations or poster presentations are required to submit abstracts. The format of paper submission and poster must meet the requirements of the specification, see the attachment for details.

5. Requirements of inclusion

(1) All online and offline participants of the Conference can submit papers. Those who intend to be speakers should mark the name of the workshop.

(2) For those who only submit papers but do not register for the Conference, their papers will not be included in the proceedings.

(3) All papers will be submitted to the expert panel for review. Qualified ones will be included in the proceedings. The Conference will recommend the best candidates to the workshops to make academic speeches.

Requirement on Papers Submission and Posters Making of 2022 World Conference on Acupuncture-Moxibustion (Singapore) of World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS )

To submit a paper to 2022 World Conference on Acupuncture-Moxibustion (Singapore) of World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS ), delegates are required to submit an abstract (fewer than 800 words), or the full text of the paper. The full text should not exceed 5,000 words and the layout should not exceed 5 pages. The deadline for paper submission is September 30, 2022. Please send to e-mail: wfas2022@163.com

1. The Format of the Paper

The English paper should be in Times New Roman, the title in 14pt, figures, table notes and footnotes in 9pt, the references in 7.5pt and others in 10.5pt.

1.1 Title

The title should be concise and reflect the specific content of the paper, preferably not exceeding 20 words. The title should avoid uncommon abbreviations, characters and etc.

1.2 Author

The position of the name should leave one line blank from the title. Multiple authors’ names should be separated by commas. If authors belong to different organizations, Arab numerals should be marked in the upper right corner of the writer’s name.

1.3 Organization

The organization of author(s) should be given in bracket. Different organizations needs to be separated by semicolons. The top left corner of the first word marked at the beginning of each organization should stay the same with Arab numerals marked in the upper right corner of the author’s name.

1.4 Abstract

The abstract should leave one line blank from the organization, starting with “【ABSTRACT】”. The abstract shall be a four-section summary include “Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion”. Abstracts for experimental research and clinical research should include four parts, namely Objective, Methods (research object, grouping, sample size, specific interventions, observation index and detection method, specific animal experimental modeling method), Results (main data and statistics should be given) and Conclusion. Papers for theoretical discussion and summary should use indicative abstract and the main content of the paper should be stated. If abbreviations are used in abstract, full name should be given in bracket.

1.5 Keywords

The keywords should start with “【KEYWORDS】”. Three to five keywords are appropriate. Each keyword should be separated by semicolon.

1.6 If the paper is funded by any research project, the introduction of the research and the author should be put in the footnote of the front page. The research project shall be marked as “Project Source:”. The first author and the corresponding author can be introduced within 100 words, including name, education background, professional title, research direction and e-mail.

1.7 If the submission is the full paper, please refer to paper format requirements of Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion.

2. During the conference, oral presentations or poster presentations can be chosen.

2.1 Oral Presentation: Please prepare PPT by yourself and send the PPT to the e-mail: wfas2022@163.com before November 1, 2022.

2.2 Poster Presentations: Please prepare and bring your own (sticky) posters. According to post signs in the venue, please post the poster to the designated place and the poster should be taken down within the posting time. The poster size is 90 cm wide and 120 cm high. The specific font size depends on the words of the poster and the poster is preferably visible from a distance of 1 meter. The numbers of poster are limited, so the arrangement will depend on the order in which the posters are received, and the arrangement will depend on the specific situation of the venue.
