President of WFAS Liu Baoyan Attends BRICS Health Ministers Meeting and High Level Meeting on Traditional Medicine 

　　BRICS Health Ministers Meeting and High Level Meeting on Traditional Medicine was held on 6th July,2017 in Tianjin, China, which was sponsored by Chinese government,this year’s rotating President of the BRICS.  President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter for the opening of the meeting.Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong, NHFPC Director Li Bin,Indian Minister of Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nada, Russian 1st Vice Minister of Health Igor Cagmannya,Brazilian Vice Minister of Health Antonio Figueiredo Nardi, South African Deputy Director-General of Health Ministry Samizanban Pillay and over 300 representatives from Ministry of Health and Ministry of Traditional Medicine of countries including Brazil,Russia,India, China, S.A.ETC..and international organizations attended the opening ceremony. As officer of an international organization,WFAS President Liu Baoyan was invited to the meeting and attended the traditional medicine symposium.

        Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong attends the meeting and is making keynote speech. 

　　The theme of this High Level Meeting on Traditional Medicine is “Open and Inclusive,Learn from Each Other and Have the Traditional Medicine Benefit Human”. Heads of delegation conducted symposium focused on “localization of traditional medicine into health care systems”during the meeting. Tianjin Bulletin and Joint Declaration of BRICS Countries on Strengthening Cooperation in Traditional Medicine of BRICS Health Ministers' Meeting were also announced.

　　WFAS President Liu Baoyan said: “ I think this theme is excellent, because traditional not only exists in China, it has a long history worldwide including BRICS countries. Each subject has its advantages as well as many needs to be supplemented and improved. It is vital to learn from each other with an open and inclusive mind. Therefore I think this theme an idea, or charm of our Chinese civilization. TCM needs openness and inclusiveness, which a country or a nation also need. This is an excellent theme.

　　As a subject of long standing,ACU-MOX has a history of over 2000 years. Status and role of ACU-MOX practitioners vary from countries to countries. How to enhance communications between doctors,adopt appropriate service modes and environments, is vital to the growing-up of a doctor. WFAS has devoted to promote communications and cooperations of TCM and ACU-MOX societies from various countries and areas and global traditional medicine, raise level of ACU-MOX practitioners and improve TCM and ACU-MOX localization into health care systems to benefic human health.nowadays, TCM and ACU-MOX have been spread to 183 countries and areas. 

　　At High Level Meeting on Traditional Medicine, Liu said that “ clinical assessment of ACU-MOX is an important way for traditional medicine to realize development and application.Randomized controlled trial is not enough. If combine clinical assessment methods and internationally-accepted methods by big data and internet technology,walking on two legs, the efficacy of traditional medicine is sure to be better proved.therefore,traditional medicine will have broader and more continuous promotion and application.”

　　WFAS has devoted to actively promote international standardization of TCM and ACU-MOX and improve professional level of society members and international practitioners by ways of trainings and tests. WFAS member societies distributed in different countries and areas are actively devoted to promote healthy development of TCM and ACU-MOX locally.
