On October 14, 2017, Russian International Forum on Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture & “the Belt and Road” Tour of Acupuncture-Moxibustion was successfully held in Russian National Academy of Science in Moscow. More than 800 representatives, experts and enthusiasts for TCM &ACT-MOX from governments, companies, medical and educational institutes of Russia and China attended this forum.
　　This forum was hosted by WFAS and co-undertaken by Russian Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (RATCM), Russian Association of Experts in Traditional Occupation and National Medicine and Fohow International College of Health Preservation.
　　Zheng Shimin, Chinese Minister-Counselor to Russia, Su Gangqiang, Director of the Department of Finance of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM), Wu Dong, Vice-president of Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS), Thumsoff, Vice-president of the Health Committee of Russian State Duma, Philipuf, President of People's Friendship University of Russia, Fang Shuting, Chairman of China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CATCM), Mattehanov, Vice-president of Committee of Experts in Traditional Medicine under Russian Ministry of Health, Yu Fei, President of Foundation for Cultural Communication of TCM Health Preservation, Mr. Harpoliyev, Dr. of Russian National Academy of Medicine as well as Academician of National Academy of Science and Miss Tatalincuova, Academician in medical technology of National Academy of Science all attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
　　Liu Baoyan, President of WFAS, the sponsor, pointed out in his speech that the development of traditional medicines including ACU-MOX have gained more attention from WTO and other international organizations as well as governments of the world in recent years. Liu hoped that governments and organizations could continue to support and promote the development of traditional medicine and TCM & ACU-MOX. He also hoped that practitioners of ACU-MOX around the world could continuously explore and innovate to improve clinical effects and make more contributions to human being's health.
　　Thumsoff, Vice-president of the Health Committee of Russian State Duma pointed out that the cooperation in health field between Russia and China has become increasingly active in recent years and the interest of Russian doctors and patients in Traditional Chinese Medicine has increased significantly. He hoped that Russia and China could continue to cooperate to jointly promote the integrative development of Chinese and Russian medical system.
As for the academic exchange, Liu Baoyan, President of WFAS and Principal Researcher of CACMS and Dr. Tatalincuova, Head of Teaching and Research Section of Clinical Physiology and Non-medicine Therapy of People's Friendship University of Russia gave the keynote speeches titled Clinical Study of ACU-MOX on Female Stress Urinary Incontinence and Combination of Western and Eastern Medicine on Cardiovascular Diseases respectively. Russian and Chinese people in the circle of TCM discussed the latest research results, clinical application, inheritance of TCM culture as well as TCM's influence on the world and traditional medicine's development situation and prospect in Russia and exchanged their achievements in the aspects of policy theory, scientific research, clinical experience and technology promotion with each other. The demonstration Forum of Clinical Techniques were especially popular among attendees.
　　During the meeting, WFAS and People's Friendship University of Russia signed cooperation agreement in the aspects of academic activities, staff training, academic exchange and developing scientific research data. Representative of these two countries also launched a round-table conference around the topics of TCM education, standardization and registration and trade of traditional Chinese medicine. Two parties reached an agreement on jointly promoting TCM's development in Russia. the Exhibition of TCM &ACU-MOX also attracted the Russian representatives to experience.
　　Under the support of SATCM and China Association for Science and Technology, WFAS launched “the Belt and Road” Tour of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, with a purpose to let the people from countries along “the Belt and Road” get a better understanding of TCM & ACU-MOB, the intangible cultural heritage of humanity through the academic and cultural exchange between TCM & ACU-MOX and other traditional medicines.
