According to Pingliang Daily’s report from Lingtai County (Reporter Liu Yingna), “Beautiful Lintai - waiting for you”, a promotion activity for China Tourism Day, and happy tourist season themed as “Lingtai - homeland of acupuncture master, full of cultural charisma” kicked off on May 19th. 

Lingtai county is the homeland of Huang Fumi, the master of acupuncture medicine. It has a history of over 1400 years and is also an important cradle of the nation of Zhou and Zhou culture (one of the ancient cultures from which Chinese culture derives). Having one 4A tourist spot, the county is honored as a famous historical and cultural county in Gansu by the provincial government. In recent years, Lingtai county has been focusing on establishing its cultural image as “the cradle of acupuncture and regimen, the famous county of Shang and Zhou cultures” and continuously promoting the agglomeration, integration, transformation and upgrade of cultural tourism industry. The county also committed itself to building a reputable brand and growing a stronger industry, and built a batch of A-level tourist spots and model villages. Besides, it hosted a series of cultural tourism promotion activities to achieve long and stable development of cultural tourist industry.  

During this tourist season, the Culture and Tourism Administration of Lingtai County organized and coordinated tourist spots, travel agencies, hotels, restaurants and supermarkets from nearby counties to form a powerful sales group, promoting a number of tourist activities such as sales discount and discount for tickets, which helped to strengthen people’s understanding of tourism and inspire their enthusiasm for travelling.

Moreover, this tourist season offers eight series of activities such as happy tourist season county tour, short video competition themed as “I shoot beautiful Lintai”, the training and star rating for agritainment owners, the first exhibition of calligraphy, painting and photography works by farmers in this new countryside area, basketball games, fruit and vegetable picking and square culture week. During this season, tourists are welcome to experience country life style, have fun playing sports, recall the sweet childhood and have a taste for the delicious folk cuisine. In Lintai, tourists can always feel the charm of this county.
