Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Calgary: Integration of TCM and Western Medicine is a Highlight of the Chinese Solution
An online open course on thermosensitive acupuncture was organized jointly by Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Sino North American Partnership for Traditional Chinese Medicine, Alberta Huatuo Health Society, Beijing Wanfang Data Ltd. and Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Lu Xu, Consul General of PRC in Calgary, gave her online speech and expressed that, TCM, a treasure of the Chinese people, plays a very important part in COVID-19 containment and becomes a highlight.
Lu Xu said that, the open course came at the time when Canada is seeing the widespread of COVID-19 and provided more suggestions in addition to the preventive advice of the local health authorities. She reiterated that, the Chinese Government is concerned about the health of all the Chinese overseas and the students overseas. The consulate general will continue and deepen cooperation with relevant institutions to help them through.
In the open course organized on April 19, Chen Rixin, chief professor with Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, introduced and presented the way to deal with COVID-19 with thermosensitive acupuncture at home. The course was made to the students, the Chinese and the employees of the Chinese companies in the area. Prof. Chen gave a detailed presentation on how to use thermosensitive acupuncture to treat mild and moderate COVID-19 cases and how to make the simple tools of thermosensitive acupuncture.
The experts with the University Hospital also introduced the procedures of thermosensitive acupuncture and how to make the simple tools.
Li Yang, president of Alberta Huatuo Health Society, expressed that more online activities would be held on thermosensitive acupuncture.
Jason Luan, Associate Minister of Health and Addictions of Alberta, also gave an online speech. Thousands attended the online activity.
