Abstract: Objective: To investigate the mechanism of drug-separated moxibustion at the navel on vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and anti-Mullerian hormone(AMH) in rats with premature ovarian failure(POF) . Methods:50 female Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal group, model group, the group of herb-partion moxibustion at navel and Western medicine group. The rat model of premature ovarian failure were used by intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide. The rats of herb-partion moxibustion at navel group were treated with self-made herb ointment. The rats in the western medicine group were givenintragastric dose of estradiol valerate. After 2 weeks of treatment, the levels of E2, LH and FSH were detected by using the radioimmunoassay method. ELISA was used to detect the level of VEGF and AMH. Results:Compared with the normal group, the level of E2 decreased in model group (P<0.05). The level of E2 in the group of herb-partion moxibustion at navel and Western medicine group were higher than that in the model group (P<0.05). Compared with the normal group, the level of VEGF and AMH significantly decreased in the model group (P<0.05). The level of VEGF and AMH in the group of herb-partion moxibustion at navel and Western medicine group were increased than those in the model group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The herb-partion moxibustion at navel can significantly promote the follicle number and
ovarian reserve of POF rats may be related to the regulation of E2, VEGF and AMH.
