Abstract: Objective: To study the mechanism of special cupping therapy through clinical practice. Methods: Based on patient collection  since 2012  and recording of self-  treatment,  this  article  trying  to describe the history,  present  situation  of  special  cupping  therapy  and  the  experience  of  practice,  and  to  discuss  the mechanism of special cupping according to negative pressure principle, meridian theory, strengthening yang principle and physiology. Results: Special cupping therapy could alleviate internal wind and cold, damp and hot, blood stasis, fire toxin and phlegm. It  was applied to treat chronic diseases, complex symptoms  andprimary tumor. Conclusion: Special cupping therapy is a complementary method  and  could be used in  health maintenance, cosmetic procedures, and preventing or curing disease.
