Abstract: Objective:  To analyze the level of blood lipids in the mild cognitive dysfunction(MCI) patients and observe the effect of the moxibustion of Zhuang medicated thread on it. Methods: 60 MCI patients were selected as the observated group in the routine healthy physical examination, and 60 healthy elderly patients were selected as the control groups. They compared with their level of  blood  lipids. Then 60  the  observed  cases  were  randomly  divided into  the  medicated  thread moxibustion treatment group and the routine acupuncture treatment group which each include 30 cases. The observated group were acupunctured   by the moxibustion of Zhuang medicated thread therapy, while the control group were  treated with the routine acupuncture for a course of treatment. Then the serum six blood lipids were LDL-C, compared with each other, analyzed the influence of the two groups. Results: 1. The concentrations of Apo-A1, Apo-B, TC and TG in MCI patients were  higher  than  those  of  healthy  peers,  while  HDL-C  was  lower  than  normal  group.  2.Both the“YiQiTiaoXue,  FuBenPeiYuan”  moxibustion  methods  and  the  controled  acupuncture  could significantly lower the higher LDL-  C, Apo-A1, Apo-B ,TG, TC. While the moxbustion method also  can  increase  HDL-C  (P<0.05)  after  their  theatment  with  statistical  significant  (P<0.05) meaning. 3. The“YiQiTiaoXue, FuBenPeiYuan” moxibustion of Zhuang medicated thread method could not only increase blood HDL-C lipids but also reduce LDL-C，Apo-A1, Apo-B, TC，TG (all P< 0.05), which were better than the conventional acupuncture treatment group. Conclusion:1. The abnormal blood lipid level in MCI patients is taken as a risk factor.2. Being their effectively preventing and controlling the blood lipid function in MCI, the “YiQiTiaoXue, FuBenPeiYuan” 

moxibustion  of  Zhuang  medicated  thread  and  routine  acupuncture  method  are  both  effective methods. 3. The “YiQiTiao Xue, FuBenPeiYuan” moxibustion of Zhuang medicated thread is a beneficial method with its preferred improving the blood lipids ability in MCI to the conventional acupuncture.
