ABSTRACT：Bloodletting therapy is an ancient medical technology, has been used around the world for thousands of years of history. Bloodletting therapy in Arab region called Al-Hijamah, which is similar to the bloodletting cupping,but Al-Hijamah has its own characteristics.This article focuses  on  the  analysis  of  the  characteristics  of  Al-Hijamah,  found  that  Al-Hijamah  has specification of bloodletting operation, pay attention to the bleeding time, wide indications,clear contraindication and so on.
