Observation of effect of Single Lift posture of Baduanjin qigong for the recovery of patients with balance dysfunction after Stroke

Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of Action iii of Baduanjin qigong for the recovery of patients with balance dysfunction after Stroke. Methods: 62 patients with balance dysfunction after Stroke was equally divided into observation group and control group using table of random numbers. Both group received general conventional medical treatment, while control group conducted regular balance trainingand observation group conducted Action iii of Baduanjin qigong. After 8 weeks, score of FMA-L and BBS was used to determine the treatment effect. Results: FMA-L and BBS score was significant compared within group(P<0.05). But the result is also significant when compare the score of observation group and control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Action iii of Baduanjin qigong could improve patients’ balance dysfunction after Stroke.
