Cases of Intractable Facial Paralysis Treated by Medicinal Moxibustion at Baihui Acupoint

Abstract: Background and Objective: Intractable facial paralysis complications and sequelae of non healing, make physical and mental patients are under great pressure. Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of moxibustion at Baihui acupoint on intractable facial paralysis. Materials and Methods: with 60 cases of intractable facial paralysis were included in the standard by Baihui area moxibustion treatment, 1 times a day, 15 days a course of treatment, according to HouseBrackmann (H-B) facial nerve function evaluation classification respectively before treatment and after treatment of 2 courses records classification, evaluation of clinical curative effect. Results:Baihui area moxibustion for treating intractable facial paralysis cure rate of 75.0%, the total efficiency of 96.7%. Conclusions: the acupuncture point moxibustion area significant efficacy in the treatment of intractable facial paralysis, simple operation It is safe and reliable, and it is a new method for the treatment of this disease. It is worthy of clinical application.
