International Symposium on Acupuncture-Moxibustion is an international academic event on acupuncture-moxibustion of traditional Chinese medicine held by the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) in non-election years. We have successfully held 29 Symposium since 1987, which has become the most influential academic event in the field of acupuncture-moxibustion in the world. The 2023 International Symposium on Acupuncture-Moxibustion will be held in Bangkok, Thailand and online from November 16-19, 2023. Details are hereby notified as follows.

4.Paper submission requirements

(1)The deadline for paper submission of the is September 30, 2023, and the paper should be sent to the email address wfas2022@163.com with email subject  “2023 Thailand Symposium Paper+First Author’s Name”.

(2)The information and academic achievements reflected in the paper must be completed from 2018 to 2023. Generally, each first author is limited to submitting one paper. Please do not involve confidential content in the paper. The author is requested to ensure the authenticity and objectivity of the content, and is responsible for the content.

(3)The author must submit an abstract in both Chinese and English (with a maximum of 1,200 words in English), and the full text (including references) can be submitted. The word count for the full text (including references) should not exceed 5,000 words, and the page size should not exceed 5 pages. If you are unable to submit the full text, please inform us in the email. Please use Times New Roman font for English.

(4)The organizer intends to recommend the collection of papers to relevant paper collection and retrieval institutions. Those who do not make a special statement to this symposium shall be deemed to have agreed to the authorized recommendation.

(5)Regardless of whether the participant choose to give academic speeches or display posters, they must submit abstracts of their papers in both Chinese and English. The format of paper submission and poster must comply with regulatory requirements, as detailed in the attachment.

5.Requirements of inclusion

(1)Participants are eligible to submit papers. If you are interested in giving a speech, please inform us via email.

(2)Those who only submit papers but do not register as participants, their papers will not be included in the conference proceedings.

(3)All participants’ submissions will be reviewed by an expert group. Qualified papers will be included in the conference paper collection, and recommended to give speeches at workshops.

6.Exhibition

During the Symposium, an exhibition of acupuncture-moxibustion will be held, covering various fields, such as promotion of acupuncture-moxibustion as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, training and education of traditional medicine, research and promotion of Chinese medicine, cultural industry of TCM, medical equipment and books, as well as TCM service trade. Relevant parties can sign up for the exhibition by filling in the Attachment 3. A standard booth of 2*2 meters is provided near the venue. The exhibition fee for the conference is $4,000, including registration fees and dinner fees for two.
