May 31, 2022,Secretariat of the Standardization Working Committee of the WFAS held the online preview conference of four WFAS Acupuncture-Moxibustion international standards which proposal was approved in 2020, including Technical Benchmark of Acupuncture and Moxibustion : General Rules for Drafting, Technical Benchmarks of  Acupuncture and Moxibustion--Cupping, Standard for Case Registry Study Management of Acupuncture-Moxibustion,Good Clinical Practice of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Research Management.

About 50 participants attended the meeting including Liu Baoyan, the President of WFAS, Yu Xiaochun, Chief of the Standardization Working Committee, Yin Haibo, Associate secretory of the Standardization Working Committee and director of academic department, and Standardization working committee members Prof. Yang Jun, Prof. Wu, Binjiang, Prof. Li Tie, Prof. Fang Fang, Prof. Liu Weihong, Prof. Zhao Baixiao, Prof. Carlos Llopis (Spain), Prof. Claudia Skopalik (Spain),  Prof. Guo Yi, Prof. Gao Shuzhong, Prof. Bian Zhaoxiang, Prof. Yao Chen, Prof. He Liyun, and standard drafting work group members. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Zhao Hong, Secretary-general of the Standardization working committee.

At the beginning of the meeting, Yu Xiaochun,Chief of standardization working committee, gave a welcoming speech to the attendee, then addressed his expectation to the experts to insist strict technique assessment during this meeting to make good basis for the following another 12 standards, which help to provide high quality acupuncture-moxibustion standards for all over the world.

During this meeting, relating to the four WFAS Standards Technical Benchmark of Acupuncture and Moxibustion : General Rules for Drafting, Technical Benchmarks of  Acupuncture and Moxibustion--Cupping, Standard for Case Registry Study Management of Acupuncture-Moxibustion,Good Clinical Practice of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Research Management，the drafting work group reported the purpose, team consist, process, method and result, key factors, core technological contents. The participating members and the consulting experts reviewed the methodology of the standard development, the standardization of the standard text, studied whether the standard could reflect the characteristics of the acupuncture –moxibustion discipline, and put forward detailed revision opinions on the four standards.

President Liu Baoyan was delighted with the results of the four standards of the drafting work group,  addressed his expectation to other drafting teams of international standards of acupuncture-moxibustion under process, put forward new requirements for the scientific and normative development of international standards of acupuncture-moxibustion, and expressed sincere thanks to the committee members and experts attending the meeting.
