September 27, 2022, Secretariat of the Standardization Working Committee of the WFAS held the conference of seven WFAS Acupuncture-Moxibustion international standards which proposal was approved in 2020, including Evidence-based Clinical  Practice Guideline for Acupuncture and Moxibustion for Urinary Incontinence in Women, Guideline for Clinical Practice of Acupuncture-moxibustion: Non-specific Low Back Pain, Guideline for Clinical Practice of Acupuncture and moxibustion: Migraine, Acupuncture Therapy for Major Depressive Disorder: Evidence-based Clinical Practice Guideline, Evidence-based clinical practice guideline for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with acupuncture and moxibustion, Technical benchmark of Acupuncture-Moxibustion : Filiform Needle, Revision of WFAS Standard:Moxibustion Manipulations.

About 60 participants attended the meeting including Liu Baoyan, the President of WFAS, Yu Xiaochun, Chief of the Standardization Working Committee, Zhao Hong, Deputy Directors of Standardization working committees, Prof. Zhao Baixiao, Yang Jun, Wu Binjiang(Canada), Li Yongming(America), Rinaldo Rinaldi(Italy), Carlos Llopis(Spain), Claudia Skopalik(Spain), Nam Dongwoo(South Korea), Yang Liu(England), Li Tie, Liu Weihong, Fang Fang, Chen Jiaze, Chen Min, Lu Liming, Wang Chao, Liu Jia, Zhang Yuqing and standard drafting work group members. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Zhao Hong, Deputy Director and Secretary-general of the Standardization working committee.　

Director Yu Xiaochun expressed his gratitude to the drafting groups for the development of the standards, which are the last batch of standards set up in 2020. He hoped that experts could strictly check the international standards of acupuncture and moxibustion developed by WFAS from the technical perspective, so as to provide the world with high quality acupuncture standards.

The drafting work group reported the purpose, team consist, process, method and result, key factors, core technological contents. The participating members and the consulting experts reviewed the methodology of the standard development, the standardization of the standard text, studied whether the standard could reflect the characteristics of the acupuncture –moxibustion discipline, and put forward detailed revision opinions on the seven standards.

President Liu Baoyan affirmed the preciseness of the standard development process and thanked to the experts for the valuable opinions they put forwarded. He hoped that each drafting group could learn from each other's experience, summarize constantly and improve the research methods. At last, he expressed his sincere thanks to the experts attending the meeting.
