On the morning of 27th April,2017, the panel of experts on TAM, Acupuncture and Moxibustion of WFAS assigned several members to discussions with dozens of doctors of Western Medicine including Doctor Joomaye,Vice President of Victoria Hospital in Mauritius who is responsible for medical treatment, Madam Bundhun who is responsible for department of medical affairs and department of human resources and held a break-fresh-ground seminar for TCM culture spreading and acupuncture academy in response to Ministry of Health in Mauritius.

Being the biggest state-run hospital, Victoria Hospital is equipped with standard outpatient department of Western Medicine and six hundred beds and has about two hundred medical employees. A rehabilitation practitioner was assigned to China to learn Acupuncture and Moxibustion in 2015 by the hospital, who applies what he has learned in clinic rehabilitation treatment and arouses the whole medical staff’s interest in overall learning. This discussions is concentrated on how to train talents of TCM, Acupuncture and Moxibustion and conduct operative technology of Acupuncture. Vice Secretary Wen Biling of China Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion(CAAM) gave a brief introduction of the basic situation, expert resources of WFAS, CAAM and CACMS, characteristic therapy and indications of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, etc.. The president of Victoria Hospital hoped to win support of Ministry of Health of Mauritius to train more talents of TCM, Acupuncture and Moxibustion by forms of assigning trainees with medical background or inviting Chinese experts to hold training coursed in Mauritius with the joint effort of both sides. 

Chief of Acupuncture Department Yu Jianhong from the Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yay-sen University, Professor Kong Lihong from Hubei University of Chinese Medicine,Chief of TCM Department Wen Biling from China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Professor Wu Hanqing from Beijing Minimally-invasive Acupuncture Academy then conducted popular science, academic exchanges and live demonstrations respectively form aspects of brief introduction of Acupuncture and Moxibustion development,message, Acupuncture and Moxibustion treating decreased ovarian reserve in gynecological diseases and physique three needle technology, which is completed with text and graphics, explaining and demonstrating. Experts explained and demonstrated acupuncture tools simultaneously to peers and the magic TCM and significant efficacy aroused broad interest of present listeners, which lays the foundation of new chapter of friendly cooperation between China and Mauritius.
