To support inheritance work of acupuncture-moxibustion and TCM in Macao, China,WFAS settled the 6^th global “Inheritance Base for Acupuncture-Moxibustion of TCM World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies Macao, China” at Associacao de Farmacia de Medicina Chinesa de Macau(AIPPMCM). The rewarding ceremony of Macao and the International Development of Acupuncture-moxibustion and TCM Forum&WFAS Inheritance Base for Acupuncture-Moxibustion of TCM World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies Macao, China hosted by AIPPMCM was held at the Hall of Hac Sa Health Center on 25^th June. Executive Committee Member and First Deputy Secretary-General of WFAS Ma Ying, Director of Inheritance Work Committee of WFAS Wu Binjiang, Assistant Deputy Minister of Ministry of Culture and Education of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao S.A.R. Shao Bin and Director of Drug Surveillance &Management Department, Drug Affairs Office of Macao Ministry of Health and over 250 representatives from China (including Hong Kong and Macao regions), Australia and Canada attended the meeting.

First Deputy Secretary-General of WFAS Ma Ying awarded Plaque of Inheritance Base for Acupuncture-Moxibustion of TCM World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies Macao, China to President Shi Chongrong and Consultant Jiang Hongcheng of AIPPMCM and expressed warm congratulations and addressed for its establishment during the meeting. He said that WFAS is always committed to spread and development of acupuncture-moxibustion of TCM, actively organizing its academic research, exchanges and inheritance. Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary-General Ma Ying made claims for following works of the base: responsible for the newly-established WFAS base, AIPPMCM shall build the inheritance base into a high-level talent training base, a base for inheritance and innovation of academic thoughts and clinical experience of elderly experts on acupuncture-moxibustion, a training base for inheritance for advantaged therapy and techniques of acupuncture-moxibustion to make more people know acupuncture-moxibustion,trust acupuncture-moxibustion and benefit from acupuncture-moxibustion and make acupuncture-moxibustion contribute more to human health.

President of AIPPMCM Shi Chongrong who is the main person in charge of TCM inheritance base said that acupuncture-moxibustion in Macao has high acceptability and good mass base but weak scientific research and education basis, thus inheritance work is of great importance. Gaining strong support and assistance from WFAS, AIPPMCM settled the 1^st TCM &acupuncture-moxibustion inheritance base in Hong kong and Macao to inherit and promote academic thoughts and clinical experience represented by reputed Chinese expert Wei Fengpo on acupuncture-moxibustion in priority, which will benefit inheritance and spread of techniques and culture of local acupuncture-moxibustion to promote inheritance and development of Macao TCM and acupuncture-moxibustion.

After opening ceremony, six experts including Pro. Wu Binjiang, Pro. Zhou Aijun, Pro.Wang Qicai And Pro. Weibo discussed development of Macao and international TCM &acupuncture-moxibustion from views of research on acupuncture-moxibustion manipulations and school inheritance and TCM diagnosis and clinical application of acupuncture-moxibustion respectively. The future development of acupuncture and moxibustion&TCM in Macao will be based on the existing regional policies and advantages of Portuguese-speaking countries, inheritance and innovation, focusing on establishing platform of acupuncture-moxibustion&TCM in Portuguese-speaking countries, and conducting cooperation of international traditional medicine projects to enhance and promote the development of TCM of EU countries and regions.
