Abstract: Crohn's disease is a chronic and recurrent inflammatory bowel disease involving the whole layer of digestive tract. One of its key factors is the increase permeability of intestinal epithelial barrier resulting from abnormality of tight junction pathway of TNF-α-induced NF-κB-MLCK in colonic epithelium. Our previous studies have shown that herbs-partition moxibustion is an effective treatment for Crohn's disease. This study aims at observing effect of herbs-partition moxibustion in reducing permeability of intestinal epithelial barrier by regulating TNF-α/NF-κB-MLCKtight junction pathway to restore intestinal epithelial barrier and inhibit inflammation in Crohn's disease.
