Abstract：autophagy is the orchestrated bulk degradation of damaged organells ,misfolded or aggregated proteins.it is an intracellular recycling system that functions during basal conditions in organelle  and  protein  quality  control.loss  of  basal  autophagy  in  the  central  nervous  system  is closely related to agerelated neurodegeneration .The effect of acupuncture on many diseases ,as pd,has been verified,as a natural non-toxic side effect therapy.This has important significance for the  treatment  of  neurodegenerative  diseases  and  the  mechanism  of  acupuncture. The  effect  of acupuncture on neurodegenerative diseases and the regulation of autophagy will be discussed in this article.
