Abstract: Objective: To review the prevention of acupuncture and moxibustion pretreatment for Exercise Immunity Imbalance. Methods: The literature on the acupuncture and moxibustion pretreatment of Sports Medicine, Exercise Immunology, etc. was reviewed and summarized. Results: Acupuncture and moxibustion pretreatment has an active effect on the body immune system and prevents exercise-induced fatigue by regulating immune organ, immune cell and immune factor. Currently the most widely accepted theories are as follow: Acupuncture and moxibustion pretreatment on CD4+/CD8+ imbalance and Th1/Th2 imbalance. Conclusion: Acupuncture and moxibustion pretreatment can possibly be a promising and preferable prevention of exercise immunity imbalance, but the mechanisms are still unknown. Further studies are required to develop it.
