Dear esteemed Member Societies, Working Committees, Global TCM Practitioners:

On this occasion of the 12th World Acupuncture Week from 16th to 22nd of November 2025, the Secretariat of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) hereby send our sincere gratitude to all member societies, working committees and colleagues for your effort and contributions to the advancement of this profession.

On November 16th 2010, Acupuncture and Moxibustion of Traditional Chinese Medicine was inscribed on the Representative list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, marking the full recognition and endorsement of the great contributions of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of TCM in the human history of medicine. In September 2025, WFAS 2025 International Symposium on Acupuncture and Moxibustion held in Stockholm, Sweden, with the theme of “Acupuncture-Moxibustion and Human Healthcare”, attracting more than 400 TCM acupuncture experts and scholars from more than 30 countries and regions, promoting the wisdom of acupuncture and moxibustion - a world intangible cultural heritage - to make new contributions to human healthcare!

Regarding the solid foundation of activities on protecting and inheriting TCM Acupuncture-Moxibustion in recent years, WFAS calls on member societies, Working Committees and acupuncture-moxibustion practitioners to actively carry out various activities of the 2025 World Acupuncture Week. Activities may be related to “Intangible Cultural Heritage Acupuncture, and Human Health”, including “academic discussions”, “progress at the forefront”, “revolutionizing accomplishments”, “public welfare activities”, “popular science lectures”, “free clinic services”, “publications or journals”, “acupuncture-moxibustion of TCM cultural creativities”, “flash videos” and “new media propaganda” , and many other forms to carry out a series of activities.

Reports of events shall be sent to email of the Secretariat, in the form of text (within 500 English words, word vision), photos or videos, which will be published on WFAS official website. Please kindly submit the materials to the Secretariat of WFAS no later than 25 November 2025. Your attention and support is greatly appreciated.
